Russian herring salad #1

4 pieces of herring fillets

5 hard boiled eggs

2 cooked potatoes in skin

2 big or 3 small cooked beets

3 cooked carrots

¼ of onion thinly chopped

mayo

Cut herring in to small pieces.peel and grate on medium grater eggs,potatoes,beets, and carrots. Add the onion and little bit of mayo to the potatoes. mix well in a separate bowls all other ingredients with  mayo (except herring ).

Layer the salad

Start with potatoes,herring,carrots,eggs,beets,spread a thin layer of mayo on top.garnish with piece of herring and green onion
